October 7th, 2025 - Capital Croissance is acquiring a majority stake in Serapid alongside its executives, Emeric Labesse and Guillaume Davies. The latter took over the company in 2017 with the support of LBO France, which is selling its entire stake as part of this transaction. The financing round is completed by the France Nucléaire Fund, managed by Siparex, BNP Paribas Développement, and Unexo.
Capital Croissance and its co-investors intend to support the accelerated development of Serapid, which is focusing on organic growth, driven by (i) its elevator vertical, thanks to its patented innovation that is unique in the market, (ii) the acquisition of new customers in the theater and performance hall sectors, (iii) the penetration of new industrial markets, particularly nuclear, through innovative solutions, and (iv) the pursuit of its international expansion.
Founded more than fifty years ago, Serapid is an internationally recognized leader in rigid chain technology used to move heavy loads. A true alternative to hydraulic cylinders, this technology combines technical performance, operational efficiency, and environmental benefits. It thus meets the expectations of customers who are keen to integrate ecological transition issues into their projects while maximizing performance.
Initially positioned in the industrial and stage & theater sectors, Serapid is now the only player in the market to have penetrated the elevator market, confirming its capacity for innovation and its unique positioning. The Group offers a comprehensive range of products, from standard products to turnkey solutions. This approach enables it to support leading customers on complex, large-scale projects in demanding environments such as the nuclear market, with applications including precision lifting and spent fuel handling.
