Mehdi Aïd is Principal at Emerton. Prior to joining Emerton, Mehdi worked as a Director at FTI Consulting. He has over 12 years of experience in the energy industry, acquired at FTI Consulting, Oxand, Engie, and Tractebel Engineering.
Mehdi is an expert in energy infrastructure, regulation, economics and markets, delivering market analyses and strategy projects, regulatory analyses, frameworks and recommendations, commercial advisory and negotiation for energy contracts (SPAs, TUAs, PPAs, HPAs, Storage Agreements...), and arbitration/litigation support.
His expertise covers mainly markets and contracts for gas, LNG, electricity, hydrogen, aside from Carbon Capture and Underground Storage (CCUS), and renewable energy, in Europe, Asia and Africa.
Mehdi holds an Engineering degree from CentraleSupelec and a master's degree in Finance & Strategy from Sciences Po Paris. He speaks fluently English, French, and German.
