Emerton performed the Commercial Due Diligence of Hubency for B & Capital.

B&Capital has acquired a majority stake in Hubency, with the portfolio company’s director general Arthur Di Montagliari reinvesting, as well as the management team.

B & Capital has acquired a majority stake in Hubency, with the portfolio company’s director general Arthur Di Montagliari “significantly” reinvesting, as well as the management team.

The deal  is the third investment from the PE firm’s RB Capital France 2 fund

Founded in 2003 and located in Villepinte, France, Hubency is an alternative recycling and waste management operator.

Revenues mainly come from waste management, but also from the sale of recoverable waste and rental of equipment, as well as a consulting and training offering.

According to the GP, the recycling market is experiencing growth, driven by an increasingly demanding regulatory environment, which includes AGEC law. The volumes of waste to be sorted and recovered are increasing and the obligations for the traceability of waste up to its treatment are being enforced.

Hubency, with B & Capital’s support, aims to start its international expansion through both organic growth and acquisitions. At the same time, the team will look to develop its strategic and operational consulting offering in order to strengthen itself as a “one-stop-shop” player.

B & Capital’s team for the deal comprised Philippe Zurawski, Nicolas Lozowski and Myriam Zahraoui, who were advised by Natixis Partners (corporate finance), Goodwin (legal), Emerton (commercial due diligence), Delaby & Dorison Avocats (tax), EY (financial due diligence).

EMERTON deal team: Sebastien Plessis (Partner), Nicolas Weissberg (Partner), François Sfarti (Principal), Romain Brun (Consultant), Martin Bouron (Sr Associate Consultant), Alexis Scellier (Associate Consultant)
