Process transformation in specialty chemicals
2-year transformation program focused on four end-to-end processes in specialty chemicals
Context & Objectives

After a recent period of  significative growth (both organic and through M&A), Emerton’s client  seeks integration / optimization to align core processes across entities

No internal resources are available  to frame or support execution of the plan

Outcome

Framing and PMO for 60+ initiatives

Programextension to new processes, totaling €100M savings

Our approach

Step 1: Design the program

-  Clarification / formalization of  initial program scope, timeline and ambition

-  Definition of the program  governance

-  Assessment of benefits and costs

Step 2: Set-up and launch the program

-  Definition of roadmaps at  initiative level

-  Development of ad hoc tracking  tools

-  Program staffing and team  mobilization (including support teams external to the program)

Step 3: Directly execute some critical  initiatives & PMO

-  Project Management Office role  held by Emerton

- Direct management of some  initiatives and ad hoc support to high-risk initiatives

-  Ad hoc transverse analytical  support (e.g. internal or external benchmarks, support to team  re-organization or sizing…)
